ETUDE HOUSE: Drawing Eye Brow 02

ETUDE HOUSE: Drawing Eye Brow 02

Finally! I get to buy an eyebrow pencil from Etude House. It had always been out of stock during my frequent visits but fortunately it's available now ! I've known of this product through my best friend. She would constantly nag me to go and buy one myself... Apparently, an act of sympathy for my overly battered set of eyebrows..But I was just too stubborn to fix it on my own... I had used this product before and to be honest its quite nice.

I woke up the next morning realizing how I should "love myself more," and bought one.

Here's a couple of shots of the Eyebrow pen:

the whole product

I like it. Its more convenient to use and it already comes with a brush on the opposite tip, and has a turn cap so you can easily retract it and the product won't get accidentally snapped off, broken, pressed or whatever that may happen.
It costs Php 120 and for an Etude Product that's already a steal! It also wont come off that easily, and I'm a walking pan of canola oil, so that is definitely a plus. You get a tiny bit of product, however. In the previous photo, that is everything that there is. I turned the cap until I got all the life out of it, but that was all that it could give. Haha.. But, I pretty much like the product nevertheless.

Pinkies collection lipstick

lp 04
Hope you don't mind the dirty packaging, but this is the best shot that I had with this product. Lipsticks, how can anyone go wrong with them. I've been looking at Pinkies Collection for sometime whenever I visit Watsons, but I was not really interested, thinking it was just an okay brand. Until reviews came flocking of how good their products are. Finally, I bought one of their products to test out.
Pinkies collection lipstick in the shade of LP-04
The cost is Php150, very cheap and it is packaged like a MAC lippie. My friends even mistake it for MAC.. Hehe eventually getting disappointed afterwards

I love this color. Its a sophisticated plain red! which is a must have  ..
and for the price you can;t go wrong.

I like its staying power and texture. It doesn't chap on my lips. But, I admit on cheating, I do use lipbalm on but I guess that's necessary to prevent cranky lips!

love how its packaged like MAC
reddy lips! I love it!
This can be purchased at any WATSONS and SM stores! I guess? Its former name was Pinky Swear Collection but they changed it for some reason. I  love Pinkies Swear though! Its affordable but their products are amazebels!

REVIEW: Marionnaud Facial Massager / Face Brush

Marionnaud Face Brush/Facial Massager

It says ~~soft, nylon bristles - for deep pore cleansing & invigorating massage on face : leaving face soft & fresh

This is available at WATSON for Php 99.00.
Since I have large pores I suffer a lot of black heads on my nose area. I found out that facial brushes are a good for toning the black heads down & cleaning the face deeply. I'm a fan of Marrionaud for their soft brushes and was soo happy when I saw this included in their stalls! My search for a good facial brush that is affordable, is finally over!

PROS
I really felt my face was thoroughly cleansed after using this brush
The bristles are not too rough for my face
It massages the face as indicated
It's only Php 99.00!
CONS:
Not available in some Marionnaud stands

Overall, I like how this brush cleans my face. But I am yet convinced of its softness since this is my first face brush ever. I still want to try other face brushes. For the price, I can say it does its job of thouroughly cleaning your face. However, it may be too rough for those with sensitive skin as well as sun burnt skin. I can't say I will repurchase it because it's not really a necessary tool for my face routine.
But, Marionnauds line of brushes are nice and for their price, it's a bargain!

REVIEW: Nichido True Colors Liquid Foundation with Sunscreen

Nichido True Colors Liquid Foundation with Sunscreen

I bought this liquid foundation at Watsons for Php 268.00. I wanted to try it because I've always seen this in Nichido counters. It comes in a nice glass pump to avoid spills & control the amount of product used. I swatched the lightest shade they had which is in STAY LIGHT.

It didn't really match my skin, but the sales lady assured me this blends with your skin tone after a few minutes.

It did blend after so I went on and purchased it.
The things I probably liked about this product was its packaging and matte finish. I didn't have any skin reactions with it like bumps and breakouts. The downfalls however, this product actually made my skin oil. Regardless of its promise being a water based product. Also, the foundation was way to cakey after a few minutes. My final thoughts is that the cons definitely outweighed the pros. I still have this on my make up stash though, but it stays there just to be leg make up and It actually works pretty good. I'm not repurchasing this product though.

I'm really not a fan of foundations. My face has stubborn lines and foundations usually cluster in that specific area everytime. The reason why I'd rather use BB Creams instead of heavy foundations. Some people might like this though, it's very much affordable, but I suggest if you're an OILY person you'd opt for other brands. This may work better for normal/dry skin tones.

REVIEW: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

It claims to help dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads & shrink enlarged pores

I read a lot of reviews about this clay mask but I didn't really pay attention due to the fact that it was only available in the states. Then I discovered Healthy Options bought it here in the PH! I immediately saved up to buy myself a tube! I bought this mask for Php 329.00.

I've had this masque for almost a year now but the tube is still half full! I don't use it too much only when I have sudden breakouts. Like the ones where I get pimples that has a pus in it. Ew? It really helps it dry bigtime!

Supplement Facts: Water (aqua), Kaolin, Bentonite, Glycerin, Zinc oxide, Propylene glycol, Sulfur, chromium oxide greens (CI #777288), Fragrance (parfum), Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben.

PROS:

  • Big tube contains 226.8 g of product
  • Affordable
  • Minty smell like toothpaste
  • It dries up my pimples overnight
  • Absorbs excess oil
  • Makes my skin feel soft after wash
  • Reduces the size of my pores after wash
  • Tingles in a good way

CONS:

  • Effect is just temporary for oil absorption and tightening the pores
  • Hard to rinse with just water
  • I always had a hard time squeezing the tube
  • It contains Paraben (Methyparaben) which is baaad
  • Some claim to have allergic reactions with this product
Others use this clay mask as spot treatment, or use it along with a soft bristle brush to sink it down to the pores. What I do is to massage it for 10 mins on my face and leave it until it dries. I'll damp a towel in hot water afterwards when I'm ready to remove the mask and swipe it off gently. I'll splash my face with cold water after..

Will I purchase again?
Yes, but not soon though I still have a lot left. This product really do what it says and I love that you get 33% more product in the tube. Good mask to try!

REVIEW: Maybelline Clear Smooth 8-in-1 BB Cream

Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer BB Cream from Maybelline New York Review

Brightens*Evens*Smoothens*Refines*Clears*Conceals* Moisturizes*Protects Skin
Clear Smooth 8-in-1 Skin Transformer is one of my most favorite drugstore BB Cream! It's very affordable, available anywhere and I like it's texture and consistency. I bought this tube for only P249!

It says: No oil, No fragrance, No pore clogging, Suitable for  all skin type

Swatch: 01 FRESH
My shade is on 01 Fresh and it really blends on my skin well.

I bought this at SM Makati Department Store. They only had 2 shades available then but i think this is available in 6 other shades.

What I like about this product:

  • I don't need to apply on concealer because it's already very thick

Look how well it covered the green veins at the back of my hand
  • This BB Cream does not melt under the sun
  • Gives an even finish
  • No strong smell
  • Has SPF 26 PA +++
  • Its affordable only P249 and is comparable to other more expensive bb creams !
  • Comes in an 18ml tube
  • No allergic reactions
What I Dont Like About This Product:
  • NOTHING. Maybe the messy tube bottle?
Will I purchase again?
YES! This is included in my daily BB Cream regimen. I'm a student whose quite on a budget and I must put on BB Cream on a regular basis! So this is perfect for me! Plus, I just love it's coverage. It has a matte finish but i still set it with little powder. Overall, I am loving this product and I recommend it for other girlies out there. Go to your Maybelline Counters and check this one out!:)

REVIEW: Collagen BB Cream SPF25 PA++ Nature Republic Review

I want to share with you guys the BB Cream that I've been using lately. It's the Collagen BB Cream SPF25 PA++ from Nature Republic.
AGE SLICK written on the front. Some sort of anti aging I think

I got this for free! I can't really remember but I think if you buy more than P500 worth of Nature Republic products you'll receive this as a gift. You can either choose this or a free Facial Foam.
Crappy shot! Peach Farm Foam Cleanser
They also produce a bigger bottle if you liked the sample size.

The back kinda creeped me out. I am puzzled of what language this is.
all i can read is it's formulated with MD 401 water
It contains 10ml of product inside.

I tried and tested it out, and to my surprise it fit my skin tone PERFECTLY!
Can you find the swatch?
The coverage is medium on first application. I like how this brings out a more natural glow on your skin.
It looked like I'm not wearing anything on my face. Unlike other BB creams, which gives me really thick coverage even on first application.

(A FRIENDLY TIP:
Since this only gives out medium coverage, I advice not to apply more and more layers just to cover things out. Just conceal on problem areas with your concealer. We don't want to go overboard on BB creams because it will hide the Oxidation process. Oxidation is when the BB cream blends out to your natural skin tone. Without this blending process the face will become pale and white. Most people think BB creams are for those people who have already fair skin. Truth is, it's really perfect for everyone as long as they use the right shade on their skin.)

Anyways!
As a student, I commute and I am exposed to pollution almost everyday. It takes an hour for me to get to a cool place. Unfortunately, I'm so lucky to have oily/sweaty skin. It comes off along with my sweat leaving me barefaced after sometime.

Will purchase again?
No, though I like how it feels so natural, and the fact that it is in my exact shade. I can't really avoid sweating all the time. I wouldn't recommend this for people who have OILY SKIN and suffer blemishes. This BB cream is best for people with Dry to Normal skin who don't sweat a lot.

REVIEW: Beauty Cosmetics 12 pcs Brushes Review

Hi everyone, today i'm going to review the 12pcs synthetic brushes from Beauty Cosmetics. I've always wanted to have make-up brushes, since forever. So i went on the search for really affordable ones. After long waiting for the perfect cheap brushes I stumbled upon the Beauty Cosmetics 12 pcs Synthetic Brush Set. I've read some reviews from other bloggers. They said this was like a dupe for Sigma!
This brushes is love! <3

So I went to their site and read the comments. Then I got more excited on trying them. I placed an order that day. It cost me P1250(shipping not included) with the black leather brush case. Next day after delivery, I received my package through JRS Express! The transaction was really fast and hassle free!

Review..
Overview of the brushes

PRICE: P1250(shipping not included)

I already washed them.
NO smell
NO shedding hairs
NO bleeding :)
The case
Back view: it has a magnetic strap on lock
Super soooft brushes!
I store them like this!
This is how I use the brushes:

Powder brush
This brush is so soft! I like how big it is and gets on my whole cheek with just a sweep. I actually use this for buffing powder on my face and it does it perfectly. This is the hardest one to dry but other than that I am loving this one! This is my top favorite!

Flat top brush
Flat top and ELF studio powder brush
I could compare this to my ELF brush though it's much more soft. My ELF brush is already aging so I use the other more often now. I love to use this for my BB creams and it gives me that airbrush finish.  Loving flat top brushes. <3 The ELF studio is much more dense though. The length is just the same.

Angled Brush
This little baby here is the Angled blush/contour brush. I use this for patting blush on my cheeks. I like that it's not so big. I can define my blush more with this and it fits my temple just right. I haven't used this with a bronzer yet, but i think it works just as great.

Foundation brush
I use this brush for my BB cream, and a spare for my concealer brush. This is also soft and i like this one more compared to the Elf foundation brush(with orange bristles). I dont use this brush that often because i like to use my Flat top brush. This type of brush just takes too long to blend. Other than that this applies make-up wonderfully. It gives no striky finish unlike the ELF brush.

Big Eyeshadow brush
Small Eyeshadow brush
This two brushes are perfect for applying on eyeshadow base. They actually look the same but the other one is bigger. I dont really know why, so i opt to use it same way. I like to use this for putting on other colors of my eyeshadow so colors will not mix. Perfect small brush for defining the nose area.

Angled Eyeshadow brush
This brush is the only downside of this set. This was not as soft as the other ones. I'm quite disappointed, but for the price, I'm still happy with my purchase. A few bubu's won't hurt! I use this as spare for my other eyeshadow brush

Little Concealer Brush/ Eyeshadow brush
Can be used for concealing and eye shadow but i prefer using this with cream eye shadows. Its also perfect for powder eye shadow and high lighting your browbone. This is also as soft as the other brushes.

ROUND crease brush!
I love love love this Round crease brush. My friend introduced me to this type of brushes and I loved it. This is such a soft crease brush! Its perfect for ofcourse applying shadows on your crease and blending it inward. I love this brush!

Eyeliner brush
It has just the perfect thinness and density to apply on your gel liners. Though other prefer the bent brushes this works for me perfectly fine. This is on my top 2 list!

Lip brush/ Eyeliner brush
I use this whenever i need to be precise in applying lipstick. I'll put my eyeliner with this or highlighter on the inner corner of my eyes. Works perfect either way.

Blending brush
<3
Lastly, my ever so loved Blending brush. Very versatile and you can also smudge concealer with this. Very soft and just perfect. This is on my top 3 list!

Of course you can always use the brushes either way you want!

OVERALL
Yes, i love them! I recommend this to beginner make-up junkies and professionals too!

They also sell indivudual items on their site if you want to check them out.:_)
