REVIEW: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

It claims to help dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads & shrink enlarged pores

I read a lot of reviews about this clay mask but I didn't really pay attention due to the fact that it was only available in the states. Then I discovered Healthy Options bought it here in the PH! I immediately saved up to buy myself a tube! I bought this mask for Php 329.00.

I've had this masque for almost a year now but the tube is still half full! I don't use it too much only when I have sudden breakouts. Like the ones where I get pimples that has a pus in it. Ew? It really helps it dry bigtime!

Supplement Facts: Water (aqua), Kaolin, Bentonite, Glycerin, Zinc oxide, Propylene glycol, Sulfur, chromium oxide greens (CI #777288), Fragrance (parfum), Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben.

PROS:

  • Big tube contains 226.8 g of product
  • Affordable
  • Minty smell like toothpaste
  • It dries up my pimples overnight
  • Absorbs excess oil
  • Makes my skin feel soft after wash
  • Reduces the size of my pores after wash
  • Tingles in a good way

CONS:

  • Effect is just temporary for oil absorption and tightening the pores
  • Hard to rinse with just water
  • I always had a hard time squeezing the tube
  • It contains Paraben (Methyparaben) which is baaad
  • Some claim to have allergic reactions with this product
Others use this clay mask as spot treatment, or use it along with a soft bristle brush to sink it down to the pores. What I do is to massage it for 10 mins on my face and leave it until it dries. I'll damp a towel in hot water afterwards when I'm ready to remove the mask and swipe it off gently. I'll splash my face with cold water after..

Will I purchase again?
Yes, but not soon though I still have a lot left. This product really do what it says and I love that you get 33% more product in the tube. Good mask to try!
